The Mysterious Number 9

The number 9 is a mysterious number. We took a look at the Number 8 earlier this week. The number 9 represents humanity and compassion. The greatest suffering for number 9 persons is learning to give love without receiving love in return and letting go, releasing people and things that no longer have any usefulness in their life.

For Number 9 inspiration is to provide the greatest benefit for all mankind, number 9 personifies goodness, holiness, godliness. Nine is a mysterious number because there is greater possibility for defeat than there is for success. Because of its implicit purity, much is expected of those whose life is marked with this number.

In most cultures number 9 is a sacred number. In ancient China, the number nine was regarded as an extremely positive number. For this reason, it was associated with emperors and matters connected with emperors. There was a bronze cooking vessel with nine legs and emperors established a system of nine ministers. The gate tower of the Tian'an Men has nine bays in width and in length. Gradually, the number nine was exclusively used by the emperor. As a result, the ordinary people including high-ranking officials and royal family members were prohibited from using the number 9 in their daily life.

Chaldean Numerology omits the number 9 in the alphabet system, the reason why is the Chaldeans felt 9 was holy, sacred, and thus to be held apart from the rest. However, should your name or that of someone you know total 9, then the 9 remains. The Chaldeans believed that the number nine was so powerful a number that it could only be portrayed and carried by God. They believed that like God, the number 9 had the power to give and take away life. In Pythagorean numerology, the number nine is significant for a number of reasons. First, it is the highest value assigned to a letter or date.

An example of the power of 9, whatever number is added to the number 9 the total is always the same number added to it. Remember to reduce the numbers.

9 + 5 = 14 (1 + 4 = 5) or 9 + 12 = 21 (12 = 1 + 2 = 3 and 21= 2 + 1 = 3)

Another great example of the power of 9 is whatever number is multiplied by nine, the total is always 9 again (reduced). Given that God lives within everyone, for that reason, 9 multiplied by any number results in the God spirit still remaining. Nine always remains in power. You’ll also notice an inherent necessity for power and control in persons with a Life Number 9 and/or 9 born (born on  9, 18, 27) of any month.
